🎃 Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Bread
Soft, moist pumpkin bread loaded with warm fall spices and plenty of melty chocolate chips. Perfect with coffee, for breakfast, or as an easy fall dessert.
Ingredients
- 1½ cups all-purpose flour
- 2½ tsp pumpkin pie spice
- ½ tsp ground cinnamon
- ¼ tsp ground ginger
- ⅛ tsp ground cloves
- ¼ tsp salt
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ¼ cup packed brown sugar
- 1 cup pumpkin purée
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- 2 large eggs
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips, plus extra for topping
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
- Whisk together the flour, pumpkin pie spice, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, salt, and baking soda.
- In a separate bowl, whisk the pumpkin purée, oil, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
- Add the dry ingredients to the pumpkin mixture and stir just until combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the loaf pan and sprinkle generously with extra chocolate chips.
- Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Cool in the pan for 10–15 minutes, then transfer to a rack. Let cool before slicing.
For extra gooey slices, serve the bread slightly warm so the chocolate chips stay soft and melted.
