Classic Chocolate Chip Cookies

Classic Chocolate Chip Cookies 🍪

Soft in the center, golden at the edges, and packed with chocolate chips — these classic cookies are always a good idea.

Ingredients:

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, beat the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla until smooth and creamy.
  4. Add the eggs, one at a time, and mix well after each addition.
  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Scoop rounded spoonfuls of dough onto the baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 9–11 minutes, or until the edges turn golden brown.
  9. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 2 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack.

Makes: about 24 cookies
