🥜🍫 Peanut Butter Cups Dump Cake
A rich chocolate dessert loaded with gooey peanut butter cups and a buttery cake topping. It’s easy to assemble and especially good served warm.
Ingredients
- 1 box (15.25 oz) chocolate cake mix
- 1 box (3.9 oz) instant chocolate pudding mix
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 2 cups chopped peanut butter cups, divided
- ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- ¾ cup unsalted butter, melted
- Vanilla ice cream, optional for serving
- Chocolate or peanut butter sauce, optional
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Heat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Make the pudding layer: Whisk the chocolate pudding mix and milk together for about 2 minutes. Spread evenly in the baking dish.
- Add the peanut butter: Warm the peanut butter for 20–30 seconds until easier to drizzle. Spoon or drizzle it over the pudding. Sprinkle 1½ cups chopped peanut butter cups and the chocolate chips over the top.
- Add the cake mix: Sprinkle the dry chocolate cake mix evenly over everything. Do not stir.
- Add the butter: Slowly pour the melted butter across the cake mix, covering as much of the dry mixture as possible.
- Bake: Bake for 40–45 minutes, until the top looks baked and slightly crisp while the chocolate underneath remains gooey.
- Finish: Let the dump cake cool for about 10 minutes. Sprinkle the remaining ½ cup chopped peanut butter cups over the warm cake.
Serving Idea
