🍎 Apple Cider Donuts
Soft, tender apple cider donuts coated in cinnamon sugar make a perfect fall treat. Reducing the cider concentrates the apple flavor and gives these baked donuts a cozy autumn taste.

Donuts
• 1½ cups apple cider
• 2 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 tsp baking powder
• ½ tsp baking soda
• 1½ tsp cinnamon

• ½ cup buttermilk
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
Cinnamon Sugar Coating

Directions
-
Pour the apple cider into a saucepan and simmer over medium heat until reduced to about ½ cup. Let it cool slightly.

-
In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
-
In another bowl, whisk brown sugar, granulated sugar, egg, melted butter, buttermilk, vanilla, and the reduced apple cider.
-
Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir just until combined.
-
Spoon or pipe the batter into the donut pan, filling each cavity about ¾ full.
-
Bake for 10–12 minutes, until the donuts spring back lightly when touched.
-
Let cool for a few minutes before removing them from the pan.
-
Combine sugar and cinnamon in a shallow bowl. Brush each warm donut lightly with melted butter, then coat generously in cinnamon sugar.
