🍫 Peanut Butter Fudge Brownie Bars
Thick, fudgy brownies layered with creamy peanut butter fudge and finished with a smooth chocolate topping. Rich, gooey, and made for serious chocolate-peanut butter fans. 🥜🍫
Ingredients
Brownie Layer
- 1½ cups unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 3 cups granulated sugar
- 6 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
Peanut Butter Fudge
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- ½ cup unsalted butter
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ¼ tsp salt
Chocolate Topping
- 2 cups milk or semisweet chocolate chips
- 2 tbsp creamy peanut butter
- 1 tbsp butter
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a 9x13-inch pan with parchment paper.
- Whisk melted butter, cocoa and sugar until combined. Add eggs and vanilla. Stir in flour and salt just until no dry streaks remain.
- Spread batter evenly in the pan. Bake 30–35 minutes, or until the center is set and a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs. Cool completely.
- For the peanut butter layer, beat peanut butter and softened butter until smooth. Mix in powdered sugar, vanilla and salt. Spread evenly over the cooled brownies.
- Melt chocolate chips, peanut butter and butter together in short microwave intervals, stirring until glossy and smooth.
- Pour over the peanut butter layer and spread evenly. Drizzle with a little extra melted chocolate if desired.
- Refrigerate for 30–60 minutes until the topping sets, then slice into thick squares.
✨ Tip: Let the bars sit at room temperature for 10–15 minutes before serving for that soft, gooey peanut butter center shown in the photos.
